‘Special fees’: China fights back against sustained US attacks by rewriting its shipping rule book

China is redrawing its maritime regulations in retaliation against US tariffs and forthcoming port fees announced by the US trade representative, in what could be a tit-for-tat fee imposition.

Chinese Premier Li Qiang signed into decree changes to its maritime regulations, backdated to take effect on 28 September.
